SPECIAL STUDENT'S TRIP TO GHANA-

Up Coming Tour July 20-27
Day One- July 20, After breakfast, visit the independence square, Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum, see the supreme court premises,
the city centre and round it up by visiting the special coffins at Nungua. Overnight Accra .
Day Two-July 21, Leave Accra to see Akosombo dam/Volta lake,
have a tour of the dam site, Visit the Akosombo town and head back to Accra. Make a stop over at Aburi botanical gardens
before getting back to Accra

Day Three - July 22,Leave Accra early for Cape
Coast . Visit the Cape Coast and
Elmina Castles . Enjoy both townships. Overnight Cape Coast
Day Four -July 23, After breakfast visit Kakum National park to test your bravery on the canopy walkway and also
enjoy the forest atmosphere. Leave to overnight Kumasi .
Day Five- July 24, After breakfast. Visit the Manhyia palace and the craft villages of Ahwiaa, Ntonso and Bonwire.

Day Six - July 25: After breakfast, visit the cultural centre and the Kejetia market. Leave to overnight Techiman.
Day Seven - July 26:Visit the Buabeng Fiema monkey sanctuary this morning, the monkeys come to
the village in the mornings and late evening. see the Kintampo waterfalls and return to overnight Kumasi .
Day Eight-July 27, Leave Kumasi to end tour in Accra .
Costs: A figure of $ 50 per night per person for
accommodation,
Shared costs amongst signed up members
on tour
Transport : $ 65 for a salon car per day(3 passengers),
$120 per day for a larger car up to 7 passengers
Drivers allowances: $ 20 for driver
Fuel will have be provided and the cost shared by
members on tour.

Day 1: Sep. 5.-Arrival
On your arrival
in Ghana at the Kotoka
International Airport, based on your requests
you are either checked into into Hillview hotel
in Accra.
Day 2: Sep 6-Accra city
Insight offers a
morning tour of Accra,
Ghana's capital city and commercial heart. Discover the attractions
of this bustling city, including the Independence Square,
Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, The National Museum,
The Du Bois Center and Makola Market.
Overnight Hillview hotel, Accra
Day 3: Sep 7.-Elmina
Depart Accra for Cape Coast passing through several interesting
coastal towns and villages along the way. In Cape Coast, visit Cape Coast
Castle, one of the best-preserved castles and the 15th century Elmina Castle. Elmina is an excellent
town to explore on foot and be sure you don't miss the fishing harbor and the Dutch cemetery. Also in the town are the posuban
shrines. Overnight Hans cottage motel.
Day 4: Sep 8.-To Kumasi
Make an early morning
trip to Kakum National Park; enjoy walking
on the only canopy walkway in Africa,
actually one of the only 3 in the world. A ground trail too is very insightful. Enjoy it. Move to Kumasi after Kakum Park. Make a stop over at Lake Bosomptwi before you get to Kumasi.
Overnight four villages inn.

5: Sep 9 -Kumasi city
Visit The Manhyia
palace musuem,Mahyia is the palace of the King of Ashanti. Visit the cultural center and Kejetia market today. Kejetia
market is the largest open air market in west Africa.

Day
6: Sep 10.- Craft villages
Visit the craft
villages of Ahwiaa for carving, Ntonso for textile prints and Bonwire for Kente prints. Have a free afternoon or see a traditional
funeral this afternoon. Overnight four villages inn.
Day 7: Sep 11- Return to Accra
The return to Accra
this morning. In the afternoon, Insight drives you to Aburi Botanical Gardens for you to relax amongst the shaded paths and walkways.
Day 8: Sep 12-Departure
This morning see
the amazing coffins of Nungua before you get the final chance to explore the markets of Accra
for that special shopping before returning to the airport for your flight home.
